Friends, I have some pretty exciting book news to share.
New Book
My second book, Seize the Love, will be available tomorrow, February 14, 2023.
What makes this news extra fun is that my mom, Faith D. Cox, has a short story in the anthology collection too. It’s so great that we’re being published together! Honestly, I’m tickled pink about this. My mom and I started writing screenplays during the same year (if I remember right, it was within weeks of each other), so the fact that we’re getting short stories published in the same book is purely poetic, if you ask me.
If you have a spare moment, you might like to visit my mom’s website. She’s also recently begun a blog of her own, which can be found here.
About the Book

Honoring the Love of the Savior
Agape. Eros. Philia. Storge
All forms of love… Seize the Love pulls readers into an anthology of stories all showing love. A love that honors God even as the reader flips the pages to find the story of a dying request, a random encounter, finding proof of God’s love, reunited siblings, caring for others, finding hope, love among the hard and easy, and more stories.
No matter the form of love, you’ll find stories sure to warm your heart, bring a smile or a tear, and hopefully remind you of the love of the One who created you.
Matthew 22:37
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Featuring various love stories sure to please the whole family.
My Story
A Baker’s Heart by Andrea Renee Cox
After nurturing her own soul with prayer and a favorite book, Cressidia-Lydia bakes scrumptious treats to feed the souls of her neighbors.
My short story features themes of hope, loss, love, community, family, and a love of books. I rather enjoyed writing about a young woman who loves her family, farm animals, and community in tangible ways.
How You Can Help
We would love your support as we release our short stories into the big world of books. I’m sure there are a zillion ways in which readers can help spread the word about a book’s release. Here are just a few.
- Purchase a copy of the book.
- Review the book on a retailer site and/or Goodreads. (Honesty is the best policy when it comes to reviewing books.)
- Gift a copy to a friend.
- Request that your local library purchase a copy.
- Share this blog article on your social media sites.
- Pin the book cover on one of your Pinterest boards.
- Add the book to your to-read shelf on Goodreads.
- Add or vote for the book on a Listopia list on Goodreads.
- Tell your friends about the book.
All the purchase links are on the books page of my website.
New Contract
On Saturday, I signed a contract with Wild Blue Wonder Press. I’ll be writing a novella for their debut anthology collection. More details will have to come later, because I’m not yet at liberty to share the title or blurb.
I’m really excited about this opportunity and am working hard on the rough draft right now. I’m already loving these characters and the setting, and I can hardly wait to introduce you to them.
Your Turn
What’s happening in your corner of the world at the moment?
Are you reading any good books right now? I love hearing about what you’re reading, because it gives me ideas for what to add to my own to-be-read list, which is ever growing.
What’s one thing you love seeing in novella anthologies?
